Located in Denver, this builder-grade home was full of dark finishes and uninspired layouts. Our clients wanted a fresh start—something light, natural, and tailored to how they really lived. Mary Engelken Interiors brought that vision to life through an organic modern lens, incorporating handmade tile, quartzite and marble counters, and warm wood tones in walnut and white oak. A once-heavy kitchen now feels open and inviting with floating shelves and a custom mudroom cabinet that blends beauty with everyday function.

Throughout the home, thoughtful upgrades made a lasting impact, from the concrete tub and unique tile silhouette in the primary bath to the boys’ cheerful hall bathroom, where a green vanity, plaid tile, and added transom window bring personality and light. Despite a few bumps in the road, close collaboration with the clients and contractors ensured the finished space feels both elevated and effortless.
